About us

Meet Nathan

Nathan Adams is a qualified, professional counsellor & psychotherapist who is passionate about seeing people overcome obstacles in their lives, while growing in resilience and into their potential. Nathan has a warm, people centered and trauma informed approached, with strong active listening and empathy skills. Nathan is eager to see people being understood and connected to the right support and resources.
Nathan draws on his life’s experiences of living in a regional area, volunteering in youth work, studying ministry, working in disabillities and studying counselling and psychotherapy. Nathan has a Christian worldview and sees people from all worldviews. Upon request Nathan can incorporate Christian interventions into sessions. Helpful insights from your own belief system will also be encourgaged. Trauma is an area of particular focus for Nathan, who sees this as an area often overlooked and misunderstood. Nathan comes from the viewpoint of asking what has happened or is happening to you; rather than what is wrong with you or treating symptoms alone.
Nathan is a registered member with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) the largest single registration body for Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Australia.
